Job Description Summary

As an IT Business Systems Analyst at Taylor Morrison, you will be responsible for supporting the Mortgage business ensuring that all project related deadlines are met in a timely manner, guiding user acceptance testing during project implementations, documenting processing and gathering business requirements from our stakeholders. In this role, you will also be expected to support various ancillary applications using IT change management processes.

We trust that as a Business Analyst you will: (responsibilities)

• Lead and facilitate IT and Business user meetings, gathering requirements and project requests from stakeholders
• Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings
• Document and follow up on important action items and decisions from meetings
• Participate in shaping solutions to fit business needs and objectives across applications in the capacity of a business analyst
• Consult with the business to understand and assess business processes and goals
• Identify, analyze and document system requirements (functional and non-functional)
• Identify gaps between current and future state business processes and prioritize opportunities to improve
• Document where needed, the information and data, that supports the business processes
• Develop business requirements and drive the project for approval by stakeholders and business, while communicating effectively to technical teams
• Ensure system compliance with IT general controls by adhering to all departmental policies and procedures
• Facilitate Vendor meetings and communication for projects related to back office operations
• Contribute to end user training material, policies, and procedures when needed

About you: (requirements)

• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience with 5+ years as a Business Analyst
• Demonstrable knowledge of the CBAP, experience working in Agile environments a plus
• Experience in the Mortgage and/or Realty/Home Building Industry a plus
• Experience using/administering Loan Origination System a plus
• Knowledge and use of all Microsoft Office products (Visio and MS Project, a plus)
• Technical writing and Project Management experience a plus
• Some travel may be necessary (10%)
• Strong communication skills with all levels from end user to management
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
